Confession Tuesday 2

1. A alright I have nothing against soccer just that everyone and I mean EVERYONE thinks I’m the best goalie of the grade which I’m not. Soccer is my worst sport and I hate it (sorry soccer fans), but that doesn’t mean I don’t enjoy the world cup, it’s just playing it

2. Alright this may sound weird, but I’m a MUSTARD LOVER!!! I mean I’m serious, once I chugged down, yes chugged down directly from the bottle of mustard, and I liked it.

3. I listen to any music, from Techno to Heavy Metal (sorry Heavy Metal hater), but the only thing I don’t like about Heavy Metal is the moron screaming in the background (yeah sorry, Nicholas I took your phrase)

4. When I’m supposedly in bed, I’m actually just texting to anyone who is online (Hey that’s my last resources, and I’m normally not tired till around midnight).

5. I WISH THERE WAS NO HOMEWORK! (Well, who doesn’t wish that)

6. I always leave my alarm on, but when it goes on I immediately smash my alarm clock, and switch off the alarm, and go back to sleep till my mom or dad come to wake me up (Yeah nobody wants to wake up for school.)

7. Yes I have chugged a glass of wine, and nearly puked it out. (Well, at least I won poker that
night, and yes Poker Texas Hold Em, oh and it was a friendly match, so no gambling.)

8. I love her, because she is beautiful, kind and smart (Hey there are many reasons...way too many to list)

9. I rather go on Skype and talk to my friends instead of doing my homework (Yeah I mean who would go for homework when you got SKYPE!)

10. I’m not as good shooting baskets in basketball as I used to be (That explains why I can’t make the basket.)

Sunday Once Again

My dad wakes me up,
reminding me that today was the day
we would go play basketball,
like every Sunday morning.
We arrive to the Kiwanis gym,
occupied.
School gym,
locked.
Outdoor basket ball court
Deserted,
Like always.
We chose the teams
Old folks VS Young.
We start to play in the scorching hot sun
realizing why it was available,
it doesn’t matter
we are here to have fun.
The score is close,
but the old guys sweat us out.
The game is over
another good Sunday.
We will beat them next time

Worldly Wise Wednesday: The Witness Point of View

Wordle: ww#2Worldly Wise Wednesday: The Witness Point of View

Running Samantha burst into the police headquarters, reporting about hearing a shriek in her neighbor’s house. She thought someone had been killed. The Chief of the police derived the information, and sent out three men to check the house, and all four of them (Samantha and the three cops) headed out. They arrived to Samantha’s house at 2:00a.m the three cops were asked her to explain the situation, and so she does…

“I was Clad with layers of sweaters that night seemed to be a cold night. I had stayed up writing part my book like I do every night, when I was electrified by a shriek. This seem to sound like the same shriek my father made when he was being killed, right before my very own eyes. I endeavored not to think about it, but I surmised that my neighbor the kind old man had been succumbed. I gingerly tip-toed over the pile of book, cloths, any other things I wasn’t planning to clean up soon, and opened the door. I started to run heading down to the police station. I ran and ran, but suddenly I felt dehydrated, but it wasn’t time to have a break. I fell a few times, giving me abrasions, because it was night time and I wasen't able to see the roots of trees, but i kept going till I finally arrived into the police station.” Explains Samantha.

“Ok we will try to corroborate your story as we visit the neighbor’s house.” Says the first officer
“We will do a cursored check around the house.” Says the second officer,
“And as soon as we are done we will send a report to our chief.” Says the last officer, and they all leave.

“I hope the old man in the house is ok.” Thinks Samantha, and walks to her room, and she looks at the clock, 4:00. It seems late, so she heads to bed, but doesn’t seem to be able to sleep; the thought of the old man dying haunted her. Hours passed, and she noticed that she couldn’t sleep; she gets off her bed, and opens a drawer with an inventory of books. She needed something to get her mind thinking about something else, and she grabs the first book she sees. She crawls into her bed, and turns on the lantern, then starts to read.

At 12 in the afternoon she heads back to the police station just to find out, that the old man had been killed. The Chief had more to say, but she didn’t seem to listen, all she did was turn and walk home with the same words rebounding in her head “the old man has been killed/murdered.”

Confession Tuesday: Hot Chili Pepper

I hold the tiny red pepper in my hand, wondering if I should really eat it, if I would be foolish enough to actually eat it. I walk into Mrs. Shibutas class (yeah, yeah I know she is called Mrs. Ghough now), and I notice there is a substitute. Then I knew this was my best chance, without thinking twice I eat the pepper…
This nasty flavor pervaded my mouth as I bit into it. Then suddenly my tongue started to burn (not literally), and I start to run around the room with my tongue out. I look and see Mrs. Sanchez laughing (she was our substitute for that day).
“You know mint helps, take the spice out.” Brandon tells me, as I am grabbing I chug down the juice that I was saving for lunch.
“Well, do you have any?” I ask.
“No I don’t sorry.”
“Mrs. Sanchez may I go drink some water please.” I say with urgency. I know water doesn’t work it just spreads it more, but whatever; it is the only thing I got right now. I head back into the class still feeling my tongue burn. I knew I should have not eaten that chili, I never was spicy resistant. I did my best trying to resist as much of the spice as I could, because class had started. I sit down on my chair, waiting for the spiciness to pass. As time passed the less hot it got, till finally I felt that it wasn’t hot anymore.
The day passed like if it were any other day, and lunch time came it seemed like Mikkel had gave the chili to other people (11 others to be exact), in the past two days. Then when we get back to class (after P.E) they call me down to the office. The first thing that crossed my mind was, oh no what did I do or what was I blamed for? I slowly out of the class and I can hear people going “uuuuuuuu somebody is in trouble,” or “BUSTED!”Which seemed to be something we always did when we were in 6th grade; I walk down the stairs from the third floor, I pass the second floor, and I pass the first floor, and walk pass Mrs. Scott, into Mrs. Sosa’s office. When I get inside I look around and I see: Nicholas, Daimen, Alan, Miguel, Juan Diego, Mathiue, Mikkel, and three other people I don’t remember right now. Then Mrs. Sosa starts to talk, and when Mrs. Sosa was done we were dismissed.
When I head back to class I think about how she found out we ate the chili. Then Nicholas comes and tells me that Alan touched his eyes after he ate the pepper, and had to go to the nurse. Then I noticed that there were 12 of us, who ate it, but only 10 were in Mrs. Sosa’s office, and I suddenly recall that, Giovanni, and Prashan ate the pepper too, but didn’t get caught.

Memoir Monday: Riding the Mountain

Memoir Monday: Riding the Mountain

I walk on the route, into Medusa one of the biggest rides in the park. My dad tried convincing, and it didn’t work, but the only reason I’m stuck now with my cousin (a girl), my dad, and my smaller brother is because of my dignity…

My brother had ridden the ride exactly 11 times, and I haven’t gone in it. My brother is 10 years old, and I’m 12 I must look like the biggest scardy cat there has ever been, and I have come to clear that name.
I walk on the route and it felt short, before I know it we are at the front of the line. I felt tears in my eyes, but why, why do I have tears in my eyes? What am I so worried about? I guess I was just tense, or tired. There are four chairs so I sit on the 3 one to the right. My dad sat to my left, my cousin to my right (at the end), and my little brother at the other end. My cousin noticed I was feeling tense, and scared, so she talks to me trying to comfort me, and it does a bit. The ride got delayed, and a bit of hope sprung in to me, thinking the ride broke down so, we had to get off, but suddenly the ride started to function again. There we went up, up, and up. And before I know it we are going down, down, down. Then I’m on the giant loop, and I’m yelling, not because I’m scared, but because I’m enjoying it.

What i hope will happen this year

The six string guitar, lying
untouched, and forgotten
Rusty strings waiting
to be replaced, waiting
to be played.
with all the beautiful melody,
trap inside.

This year I hope to play guitar,
learning it's chords, and tabs, playing
the wonderful music it makes.

Sweaty and tired, but wanting more
I get ready for the drill,
watching the person i had to tackle
Kyle.
I brace myself knowing,
that I had to try.
The coach blows the whistle
we run at each other, and
before I know it I'm on the floor.
This year I hope I can tackle better in football.

Walking in the bus
remembering all the homework undone
I sit down, and grab my notebook,
thinking of what to write, but nothing.
Math, writing, reading
what else did I forget.
I look for my agenda in the
scrapyard of things, but later recalling
that I didn't write my homework, and
when I look out the window we had arrived
to school.
This year I hope to not leave things to the last moment.

waiting for the wave to crash I
start to swim on the board. I
lose my balance and fall.
how do I hope to ride the big waves
when I cant even ride the baby ones.
I try and try, but I cant seem to stand up.
the hour passed and our rental ended...
This year I hope to become a better surfer

The hay stack one on top of the other, a
big, enormous net attached to the trees behind it, the
target on the hay stack, and
a pine cone on top of each row.
five bows and only three shots, per round
only aiming for the pine cones
I fail. It doesn't even hit it,
not even close.
This year I hope to become a better archer

The Orb of Power

“Yes another A!” yelled out Joseph, while he waved up in the air his Science test.

“You don’t have to rub it in…” said Max.

“HAHAHAHA! Don’t tell me you got an F!”

“Ya! Ok you are smarter big deal!” Says Max jokingly

“Well, you are smart enough to know that!”

RING! Everybody in the class stands up and starts to leave, “Hey, Joseph can I go over today.”

“No sorry I have to go to my final American football game against The Flying Eagles.”

“Alright…”

“Cya wish me luck!”

“Bye…”

“LOOK! THIS GAME IS IN YOUR HANDS! IT’S UP TO YOU IF YOU WANT TO WIN!” Yells out the coach.

“YES COACH!” The football team yells at the top of their lungs.

“Why hasn’t my mom arrived yet?” Joseph asked himself “, she never has missed a game like this, and it’s already half time so, she can’t be that late.”

“Joseph…. Joseph! Joseph!” the coach yells

“Yes coach.”

“Your going to be playing offensive line, left guard.”

“Yes coach!”
BEEP! “Kick-off return on the field!” yells the coach, while the other team kicked the ball, number 3 catches the ball, Joseph see number 13 sprinting towards number 3, and Joseph dashes and tackles him. When Joseph gets up number 3 got to the touchdown line and scored. It was our turn to kick the ball. I’m the team’s kicker so; after he kicked he runs as fast as he can and grabbed the fumble.

“OFFENSE ON THE FIELD!” yelled the coach.

Joseph places himself in-between the center (the one who passes the ball to the quarter-back), and the left tackle. I get on my three-point stance, and wait for the quarter-back to yell out hut, but suddenly at the corner of my eye I saw a small, green creature watching him carefully…

“DOWN… SET…HUT!” yells out the quarter-back, while Joseph was still distracted. The number 93 form the other side ran over Joseph and tackled the quarter-back, before he could pass the ball.

“JOSEPH COVER YOUR GUY, AND KEEP YOU’RE HEAD IN THE GAME, OR WE ARE GOING TO LOSS THIS GAME!” The quarter-back yelled, but he still was thinking about the creature.

“Alright Jet Two.” Whispers the quarter-back, and they all move on to the offense line.

“DOWN… SET…HUT!” shouts the quarter-back and everybody starts to move, but Joseph was distracted looking for the weird creature, and suddenly number 93 on the defensive side tackled Joseph, making him lose his breathe. When the play ended the referees ran to me, and squatted down to check on me.

“Kid are you ok?” asked one of the referees, but Joseph didn’t answer, he was having a hard time breathing. The medics came, and put him on the blue kind of bed, and carried him off the field, and into a van. Once in the van Joseph fell unconscious

When Joseph recovered consciousness he was still in the van , but something was different so, he got out of the van and looked around, the football field, the stands, and everything was deserted, and it was night time. The only thing that caught Joseph’s attention was the statue of a gargoyle on the highest stand, but it disturbed Joseph, because it had red eyes and it seemed to be staring at him. Suddenly the gargoyle roared and started to fly towards him.

“RAAAARRRGHHHH!” Yells out the gargoyle, and grabs Joseph bringing him higher and higher.

“No don’t drop me!” yelled out Joseph, not daring to look down.

After what seemed to be an hour the gargoyle descended into a forest, and when they got to land, he got surrounded by green creatures that were about his size, and an acrid smell fills the air.

“Hello fellow human. I’m Chief of the Goblins Lance.” Says a goblin

“What’s going on? Why am I here?” asked Joseph

“We will answer those questions as soon as you settle in.”

“What do you mean?”

“You’re going to stay here for a few days so; we had to make a small house for you. Oh, and one more thing this whole area is protected by a magical barrier, which you can only cross with my permission, but if you cross without, you will be disintegrated.”

“Oh…”

“Sally may you bring our fellow human to his house.”

“Yes sir.” She replies

“Wait. I’m not a fellow human, my name is Joseph.

“OK Joseph, I’ll try to remember.” Replies Lance.

Approximating a wooden house, Joseph asked “Why do you guys need me?”

“To be honest with you, I don’t really know.” Sally replied

“Alright.”

“Finally, here we are this is where you are going to live for the next couple of days, and if you need anything I live right here, and she points at a house made out of a giant mushroom.”

“Ok thank you.”

“My pleasure.”

Inside the house it looked like any normal human house, because there was: a bathroom, a room for him to sleep, and a kitchen. He immediately headed to the bathroom, and next he fell asleep in his room. In the next morning Joseph headed out to take a walk and met up with Lance.

“Lance I need some answers.”

“Yes, I think know it’s the chance for explanations. We brought you here, because we needed you strength, and your intelligence to take the Orc’s orb of Power. The reason we want this orb is because we are at war with the Hobgoblins’, and Orcs. It had been said that we are all related, but we hate each other so, we already exterminated the Hobgoblins ourselves, but we needed human help to annihilate the Orcs. We can only do this by stealing they’re sacred orbs. Our original or was the orb of wisdom, for the Hobgoblins they had the orb of sneakiness, and for the Orcs the orb of power. If we unite all the orbs, we will win the war has been fought for millions of years.” Explained Lance

“What if I don’t want to help you guys?”

“Well, then you won’t see your mother again.”

“WHAT! WHERE IS MY MOTHER! WHAT HAVE YOU DONE TO HER!?!” yells Joseph.

“We haven’t done anything to her yet, we just have her Incarcerated.”

“GRRRR! YOU BETTER SET HER FREE!”

“I won’t till you give me that orb.”

“Alright, but as soon as I give it to you, take my mom and me out of here.”

“Deal.”

“Tell me where the Orcs lives.”

“The Orcs live north-west from here, take this compass. The Orcs live underground so, you know when you have arrived when you see an abyss on the ground so, Sally is going with you, she is one of our best spies, and she know how to get in and out of the Orcs hideout.”

“Yes sir.” Response Sally

“Alright you will start your journey right know, both of you have permission to cross the northwestern part of the barrier.”

Heading northwest in the small village, both Sally, and Joseph cross the barrier, and start their journey to the Orcs hideout.

“Their hideout is 2 days away so we are going to walk in the day and campout in the night.” Says Sally

“Alright.” Replies Joseph

“Hey what is that?” Yells surprised Joseph, as he points to a creature that looked like a half women, and half bird.

“That’s a Harpy, they aren’t very common anymore, you are very lucky to see one.” Explains Sally

The first night Sally took out two sleeping bags, and she started a fireplace for the first night. Joseph couldn’t sleep he was wondering on what dangers would unravel in his path. After what seemed to be midnight Joseph fell asleep…. Later that morning Sally woke him up on what felt like four in the morning, and packed the sleeping bags, and then they started to walk again. Suddenly a goblin come up from behind and grabs Joseph by the mouth.

“If you don’t give me all your food supplies he’ll die.” Said the hobogoblin

“Alright here you go… NOT!” says Sally and throws her spear right at the hobogoblins head killing it instantly.

“Whew… that was close…” says Joseph

“Be more aware of your surroundings, or you will die, that hobogoblin was a fool for not killing you instantly.”

“Wait I thought you guys abolished the race of the hobogoblins.”

“Yes we did, but there were only a few survivors here and there.”

I never asked for this, this is pathetic why do I have to be the hero and all thought Joseph as he sat down and drank the water, Sally gave to him. It was starting to darken so, Sally put out the two sleeping bags once again, and slept for the second night. They woke up around the same time as before, and walked for another hour till the spotted the big abyss on the ground.

“This must be it.”Said Joseph

“Yes we have arrived, this is where I help me Joseph.” Says Sally “, climb on my back I’m going to climb down the abyss.”

“Alright, but this is for my mother.”

When Joseph got on Sally’s back she tied the rope to the nearest tree and dropped the rest into the abyss.

“Here we go!” Sally said with an excited voice oh I’m not going to like this thought Joseph, and Sally jumped into the abyss, almost forgetting that Joseph was on her back. Suddenly she grabs the rope and starts to descend slowly. Joseph looks down and sees a light which got brighter the closer we got, then he sees the ground…

“Jump off.” Sally says

“Wait, but it’s too high.” Joseph responds

“Just trust me.”

“Alright.”

Joseph lets go off Sally and starts to fall, until suddenly he hits the floor and bounces up.

“What, but how?”

“HAHAHAHAHA! A fairy enchanted this floor so that the Orcs could get into they’re

hideout easier.”

“So, why did we have to rock climb all the way down here.”

“Oh I just had to check if the magic on the floor didn’t wear off.”

“Alright lets’ keep going.”

The Orcs cave wasn’t as dark, as Joseph thought it would be, actually it was illuminated by all the torches they had hanging on the sides of the tunnel. Suddenly two big burly Orcs came passing by and spotted Joseph, and Sally, and before they could run, the two Orcs had already grabbed them, and were carrying them to this room, and in front of them sat a giant, burly creature which was probably the king of the Orcs.

“What do these puny humans want?”Said the Orc king in a very deep, but slow tone.

“I think they came to steal the orb of power, look there is a goblin with that kid.” Said one of the servants

“Yes I see, go imprison them.” He orders

“As you command.” Say the two Orcs that caught us.

They two guards placed both of them inside a cage that looked like the biggest bird cage Joseph had ever seen. After the guards placed them in they left.

“Hahahahaha, it’s so funny how they exchanged they’re brains for power, they forgot to lock the cage.”

“I don’t believe it.” Said Joseph grinning

“Well believe it.” And Sally pushes the cage door open “, see I told you.” Suddenly they both burst out laughing, but the laughter doesn’t last long, Joseph and Sally get serious and start looking for the orb of power.

“I have been here thousands of times, and I think I know where it is…” Says Sally, and she pick locks a door. When they got inside they couldn’t believe they’re eyes, Sally was so overjoyed that she ran towards the orb, but suddenly a giant wolf like creature comes out and tackles Sally sending her flying into a wall. All the stuff from her backpack falls out. I run towards her, and she says “Take my sword and kill the Barghest, I can’t believe I was so foolish, kill it and take the orb, leave me here my time has come.”

“NO! I can’t leave you here, you were the one who had to do this not me, after all that I can’t leave you here to die... I can’t!” Yells Joseph as he stands up and faces the Barghest. He grabs the sword with both of his hands, and slashes it at the Barghest face.

“YOU WILL PAY FOR WHAT YOU HAVE DONE, KNOW YOUR TIME HAS COME!” Yells out Joseph, but before he could stab the beast, the Barghest dodged it and bit his left arm off.

“AHHHHHHH!” Yelled Joseph in agony, but he still was on his feet, even while there was blood gushing out from where his arm used to be. With the little force he had left he stabbed the Barghest in the face, and into its brain, killing it. Joseph limps back to Sally, and sits next to her, and looks in her bag for something to stop the blood, all he could find was an extra t-shirt he put in so, he grabbed it and put it around what was left of his left arm, and pressed in it to stop the bleeding. Then he managed to tie it, and then he stood up, he couldn’t do anything for Sally she was already dead so, all Joseph could do was finish the mission he grabs the orb, and starts to head out. The way back up the slope was harder, because Joseph could only use one hand.

“Hey there.” Said someone behind him, Joseph turned around and it was Sally with a three deep cuts on her body

“How did you survive?” Jospeh says joyfully

“I just stopped the blood from gushing out with some fairy dust I had brought; I put it on my cut right when you left.”

“Alright so how do we get out of here?”

“I already have that planned. Looks see this small ball, the fairies created it to be able to travel faster from one place to another, so you think about the place you want to go, and then you put it in your mouth, and chew it. I’ll go first.”

Sally closes her eyes for a few seconds, and chews on the small ball, and disappears. Ok this shouldn’t be hard thought Joseph. Joseph closes his eyes and thinks of the place that the goblins built for him, and he started to feel like air, then all of the sudden he is back to normal, but knows he is in the Goblin village. Joseph heads out and finds Lance, and next to him was Sally.

“Hello Joseph, did you bring the orb of power?” Asked Lance

“Yes, I did, but may I ask you a favor.” Replied Joseph

“Alright, speak up.”

“May you bring my arm, back?”

“Oh I will certainly put your arm back together, but did you bring the other piece of it.”

“No I didn’t.”

“What a shame sorry can’t put your arm together, I need the other part of your arm.”

“Don’t worry Joseph I have the other part of your left arm.” Interrupts Sally, while she takes the other side of Joseph left arm. “, here Chief, know can you put it back together.”

“Yes I most certainly can put them together.”

“Yes! YES! THANK YOU SOO MUCH FOR BRINGING MY ARM!”

“No problem.”

Joseph take the shirt that he had on the remains of his left arm, and the Chief put the other part of his arm into place, and muttered some weird words, and suddenly some reddish dust covers his arm, and when the dust clears out Josephs arm is intact.

“Thank you so much Lance.”

“Don’t mention it; know can I have the orb.”

“Yes, you can have it, but remember the deal.”

“Yes I remember the deal.”

Joseph gives the orb to Lance, and Lance called out the Gargoyle, and the Gargoyle picked up Joseph once again and took him through a flight back.

“WHAT ABOUT MY MOTHER!”Yelled out Joseph for a few minutes, but noticed it was no use so, he stopped yelling. Suddenly the Gargoyle dropped him... Joseph…Joseph…Joseph… That voice sounds like my moms. Thought Joseph, and he opened his eyes, and looked around.

“Where am I?” asked Joseph

“Your in a hospital, you got hit pretty hard in football; You have been unconscious for 2 days know.” Replied the nurse

Then Joseph looked to his right and saw his mom….

“Honey are you ok.” She asked

“Yeah I’m fine, just really hungry.” I replied grinning, making my mom smile….
