I have finally got myself to grab my boring Spanish book and start reading, but as soon as I started my maid knocks on my door.
“Mateo, Miguel and Ivonne are calling from the intercom.” She says in Spanish
“Ok I know who Miguel is, but who is Ivonne?” I ask myself silently, as I grabbed the intercom.
“Yes?” I ask the guard.
“Mikkel, and Dyvon are here do you want them to go up?”
“…Yeah sure… I guess.”
I unlock my door and open it as I watch the elevator go from PB, to 1, then to 2 and so on until it got to the 10th floor. Then Mikkel walks out first then does Dyvon.
“Hey! We were wondering if you wanted to go play soccer, down by the soccer field at the park.” Mikkel asks causally.
“Yeah, sure, but first let me ask my mom first.” I answer, “I’ll call you guys when I call my mom. Oops I almost forgot what your phone number is?”
“Oh here it is.” Dyvon says as he tells me his number.
“Alright I’ll maybe meet you there.” I say
“Ok.” They say and they leave, as I close my door. Then is stop and think… “Hmmmm… should I stay or should I go, cause if I stay I would be finally be able to finish my Spanish book, but if I leave ill play soccer (which is my least favorite sport).” Sure I guess I’ll go play, and start punching in the number of my mom’s celphone. It starts to ring, but she doesn’t answer, I try again, but the same thing happens. I try once more and finally my mom picks up.
“Hey mom can I go play soccer with two friends?” I asked
“Sure!” my mom replied, “Where are you guys going to play?”
“We are playing at the soccer field, located at the end of the park.”
“Oh ok, I’ll call you when you need to get back home.”
Then I look for Dyvon’s phone number, but for a second I hesitate I know I should be reading instead of going out to play soccer, but I really don’t feel like reading, so I mark call, and wait.
“Yes?” asks Dyvon
“Hey dude my mom said yeah so I’m on my way to the field.” I said.
“Ok cya here.”
“Ok bye” I say, as I walk out the door already regretting that I have left my Spanish book reading for the last second.

The Cliffhanger
The Cliffhanger, that’s what the giant drop off about 70 feet and you get to the bottom in about 3 seconds. Yeah I was scared, but once again my little brothers made me look like a big chicken and road it about 5 times before the convince me to go on it. I waited in line (which was the shortest line in the park) and soon enough it was my turn. I sit on the top of the slide, my heart beating fast. Then the lifeguard signals me to go down. I hesitate taking the last seconds to regret my choice, but then I recover confidence and I slide down. I slide down pretty quickly, but my back was starting to hurt, but the ride was almost over. I keep going down leaving a giant trail of water on the side. I get up and my little brother congratulates me, and tells me that my back was red (like if I didn’t feel that). Anyways in the end told myself to never go on the ride The Cliffhanger ever again because even after a few hours had passed my back still hurt, but at least I rode it, and have lived to tell the tale.

Annoying Brothers
Annoying Brothers
The one’s who get into trouble,
And me being the one who gets them out
Of trouble.
Annoying Brothers
Who want to get into a fight
With me
Acknowledging that they will obviously lose.
Annoying Brothers
The little kids
Who know how to annoy our parents
In a funny way.
Annoying Brothers
When they don’t know what to do
They ask me
Their big brother to explain,
And to help.
Annoying Brothers
Who sometime get bullied
Ask me for help
Because they know that
I will always be there for them
No matter what.
Annoying Brothers
Who knows that,
I will always be their big brother,
And that I will always care for them,
And help them whenever in need.

A Wednesday Afterschool
I punch in the number on my phone for the tenth time, but no answer. “Shit, I won’t be able to stay after school without her permission.” I stopped calling on my fifteenth try and gave up. I start to walk towards the bus in defeat. I look for my bus (yeah it Wednesday so we have a different bus that takes us so; I have to look for a bus with a tiny sign saying number 12.I find it and look inside. “Damn why does the bus always have to come full on a Wednesdays?” I ask myself. I maneuver myself gingerly over the scrap yard of backpacks, binders, and lunchboxes. Until I get to the back of the bus where I sit next to Alan (a sixth grader), and we sit there just talking. Then I look in-front of me and there I see the biggest headphones of my life. I was dumbfounded when I saw the headphones. Eduardo (a tenth or eleventh grader not the eighth grader), was using them and so, I asked him if I could borrow it. He puts the volume to max and says to try it, and I do. BOOM! The music starts to blast in my ear. It was really loud but awesome. Then Alan tried it and last but not least Prashan tried it.
“This is the ultimate ignoring parents’ device.” I said
“Yeah, that is true.” Eduardo says as he puts on his headphones and starts to move his head back and forward to the rhythm of the song.
Then everything goes back to normal, everyone has their earphones on listening to their music, minding they’re on business, and the little chit chat the small kids are having continues as it does every day. As we all wait to get left by our house one by one. If only my mom answered her phone I won’t be at home bored out of my mind. I have already done my homework and studied for the math test tomorrow (Thursday). So, I grab my guitar and learn how to play the introduction of the song Wake Up by: Three Day Grace. I move my fingers from string to string trying to play it fast, but I’m not able to I have to keep practicing. I keep practicing until my fingers start to hurt so, I put my guitar away and I and I go to sleep…

Father VS Mother (Your parents)
It’s great to have a dad that understands you. A father figure to follow, a person who impels you to keep going the right way and will always be on your side. Unlike your mother he doesn’t go on an interminable tirade that will keep you awake all night. You try to act like a sage for your own sake, to avoid all the profound nonsense that your mother tells you, and that will haunt you all night. Mothers have irascible temper, but then your dad is always there to cheer you up from your “bad moments”. Fathers will always be on your side (unless you’re a girl :P). The father is always the one who volunteers to go play a sport with you or does his best to spend time with you. The father is the one that teaches you thing about sports, unlike moms who claim to know everything about how teenage girls acts and gives you “useful” advice. The father is always the one that seems to be the one who is willing to spend time with you and talk about anything with you .
I have one more thing to say… MOTHERS ARE ALWAYS RIGHT! I’m telling you this because it’s true (it’s like they can see the future). When a mother tells you something is going to go wrong, it means something is going to go WRONG. Mothers seem to always notice when you are in a despondent disposition, and is willing to ask why. Mothers seem to have affability with you (unless they are in a bad mood), and are able to cheer you up really quickly. It seems that every time you disappoint your mom they seem to “lose trust” in you just because of that moment. For example you forget to do your homework ONCE, and your mom finds out ((via the teacher send a email to your parents (ugh I hate when they do that) and your mom and dad read the email), while your dad is just sitting there waiting for the old hag to stop nagging so he could calmly tell you not to forget your homework next time.
Yeah, I lied I have ONE more thing to say… NEVER and I mean NEVER talk back to your parents unless you want to get screwed over and become a reclusive person locked in your room until you graduate (ok yeah I exaggerated I don’t think they will keep you locked up in your room UNTIL you graduate).

Confession Tuesday 4
1. Spilling Mercury Crome retarded but hilarious (Damn it’s still stained on the floor).
2. I dislike writing confessions cause most of the times I really don’t know what to write about.
3. I think my mom is afraid of blood or cuts, because once when she got back from a trip, we had just recently come back from the beach, and then I showed her my foot which was filled with cuts and scrapes (caused by the rocks in the ocean)…. She nearly fainted….
4. I always go to bed around 10-10:30 in most nights, when I’m suppose to sleep at 9-9:30 (yeah that’s pretty early)
5. I like to piss off Kun Hee on Skype when I talk in 1337 (Leet).
6. I hate Tuesdays (seems like I always have bad luck on Tuesdays).
7. My little brothers are really annoying; sometimes I wish I weren’t the oldest in the family.
8. I seem to be running out of confession maybe next time I won’t make it into a list format.

Memoir Monday 3
I try to put the bottle of mercury crome in my pocket, but failing miserably. I see it fall in a weird slow motion kind of way, but I was too late anyways. The cap of the bottle breaks and it starts to spill. “Oh Shit!” I thought, but there was no time to waste so, almost immediately I crouch down and grab the bottle, and slowly walk into Mrs. Vallarinos room. “I’m so screwed…” I thought to myself as the red mercury crome stains my hand.
I walk into the room holding up the bottle of mercury crome and all I said is “It spilled.” As soon as I said that Mrs. Vallarinos face started becoming red “I’m so screwed.” I remind myself. Mrs. Vallarino walks towards me and grabs the bottle and throws it away. Then I lead her to where the spill was.
“Go get me a janitor.” She said, and without answering I start to run down the stairs.
“Excuse me Mrs. Scott.” I ask
“Yes?” she replies
“We need a janitor at the third floor.” I say as if it were any casual thing hoping she wouldn’t ask why, but I knew that will never happen.
“Why?”
“Well, because I spilled mercury crome on the floor and we need someone to clean it.”
Then the janitor came so I once again explained the situation so, then I lead him to wear the incident happened. When we arrive Mrs. Vallarino says “Ok, now Paulo, and you are going to clean this.” When I heard that I couldn’t stop grinning not because it was funny, not because I was mocking her (well, I think she thought I was mocking her), I was grinning because of how stupid I was to dropping MERCURY CROME I mean seriously who the hell does that. Then Mrs. Vallarino leaves to her room.
“So, why do you have to clean it?” I ask Paulo
“Cause I started to spread it out with my shoe” He answers
“Ah ok. Well, at least I won’t clean this up alone.”
“Yup.”
Then I stand up to get more paper towel from the bathroom and bring some extra. Anyways in the end me and Paulo ended up just talking and cleaning the floor for the next 45 minutes which was a whole class period (I missed math class, and he missed Geography).
Well, I guess most of you guys are asking oh what you learned about this retarded experience. Well, what I learned is that when you make a mess you, you have to clean it yourself.

In-between

Looking at my little brother
Playing with those toys
I once used,
But not anymore
I have grown too old.
Watching my parents drink
Wine,
The wine I’m not suppose to touch
Yet.
I’m too young.
There seems to be a line
Dividing, and separating.
On one side my parents,
On the other my brother,
I’m old, but still too young.
Isolated in the middle
Not knowing where to go.
Watching, waiting, and wanting
For time to pass.
Playing with those toys
I once used,
But not anymore
I have grown too old.
Watching my parents drink
Wine,
The wine I’m not suppose to touch
Yet.

Dear: Shanon
Hey how have you been? I have been fine. Today was the elections for Student Council. I didn’t go for president (which in my opinion is one of the most pivotal position in the Council), because I heard it’s too much work, so I just went for Vice president. I was going up against Tiffany, and Alexa. Yeah I know I probably don’t stand a chance, but hey it’s better safe than sorry. Before I knew who had won I felt imperative, because I was really curious. My little brother says I lost by one vote, but I don’t think that’s true. Anyways by the end of the day I had a very happy disposition. I wasn’t disappointed I was alright I mean I really don’t care if I won or lost (Which in this case i lost.) Well, anyways my little brother keeps debating that the teachers modified the votes, but I keep telling them they didn’t. Anyways that is basically it, hope to see you soon.

Confession Tuesday 3

1. Yeah I’m writing a list once again (I think its way better then writing a story.)
2. One of my favorite things to do is sleep (yeah once I’m done with this I’m going to go to sleep.)
3. When a teacher abandoned us in her own class (Yeah we didn’t mind, I mean at least we got to arm wrestle in peace), we don’t bother to tell the office, but hey at least it was a short day-Wednesday.
4. I’m a mediocre ping pong player (yeah Diego beats me at ping pong MOST of the times.)
5. Playing paintball is my favorite thing to do, or Go-karting.
6. I enjoy bugging my little brothers sometimes, because it’s funny how they get mad, and try to chase me down (never turns out well for them.)
7. Remember how I said that I like eating mustard, well I like Pesto as much as mustard (Pesto is some good stuff, who ever created it is a GENIOUS! I normally eat it with pasta.)

8. Sometimes when I'm at my grandparents house and its night time, I would go outside just to look at the stars (I my opinion it looks beautiful how all the stars are in the sky illuminating the night.)

Progress Reports 2010 8th grade

“Yes! Today I have gotten straight A’s” I thought as I instilled the progress reports in my binder getting ready to show it to my mom. I couldn’t wait… The day passes slowly each hour feeling like an eternity. I get on the afterschool bus and start to talk to anyone that is willing to talk. Time flies pretty quickly till I finally arrive to my house; I get in the elevator and mark 10. The elevator opens and I rush to the door at my house ringing the bell 3 times like I do every day. I walk in and I notice my mom isn’t at home yet, and also heard that my mom was really mad at my little brother (my middle brother –Zachary.) Anyways I followed my daily routine till I finally had a chance to show my grades to my mom. I walk to her feeling great and happy with myself I show my mom my grades. Unfortunately the first paper was Algebra which was an A- which made her mad for some reason I don’t know why. I mean it’s not like I need major modifications, and I feel like I did a good job like I promised I would and she is mad.
“What the hell?” I thought as she only stayed looking at my Algebra, not even bothering to change the page.
“Mom, turn the page… the other grades are better.” I say.
“Why didn’t you get a 28/28 in this quiz…” she says in a disappointed voice, making me wish my dad was here and not in a trip, my dad actually appreciates my effort, but I don’t get good grades, because my parents say so, but I do my best to get them for my sake. Anyways I was just disappointed, I wish my mom showed more happiness to my accomplishment instead of telling me how she is in a bad mood and how I didn’t have the grades she wanted, and if she wants me to do better I will do my best to make it better, but for my own sake not hers….

Slice of Life 1
Basketball again, and unfair teams… My team: Jacob, Giovanni, A.J, and me. Other team: Andres, Nicholas, Santiago, and Juan Diego (J.D). I knew we were going to lose. Why? Well, haven’t you seen how good Andres plays? DON’T YOU KNOW HOW DANG TALL NICHOLAS IS!
Anyways there was no point in playing seriously. Jacob and I ran around a lot, while Giovanni and A.J were under the basket getting the rebounds (most of the times not able to catch them). The teams were unfair. I have lost my skill of shooting, and I’m willing to get better at it. Well, back to the subject THE TEAMS WERE TOTALLY UNFAIR! I mean they were scoring so many times, that we all lost count of the score. In the end, we lost (obviously). I really hope I get better in shooting baskets, or at least have someone who can shoot in my side.
