The stories theme supports its theme of suspension, and keep you reading to find out more and more about the gunslinger. The theme flows smoothly in the story making it intriguing to read. The suspension in the books making the readers grasp on to the book till they are done.
The Gunslinger introduces the conflict from the beginning of the story, “The man in black fled across the desert, and the gunslinger followed.” (3) And it flows through the whole book reminding you occasionally that he is try to find the man in black. The author Stephen King is a horror book writer, who makes awesome books, but may have some disturbing scenes. Stephen King writes books for adults, and teenage years. Horror, and suspense is what Stephen King writes.
The gunslinger has to track down the man in black, as well as meeting new people, traveling long distances, killing, and overcoming the traps the man in black leave behind.
I though this book was wonderful, and I loved it, it had really awesome fighting scenes intriguing flashbacks, and many things that will haunt your mind for months. This book will appeal to people ages 13, maybe even from age 15 and up.
